Local Farmers Markets are Held Most Days of the Week
Its hard to say which market is my favourite, but one thing is for sure, it doesn't take more than a day after landing for me to head out and get fresh papayas, local bananas and lovely Hawai'i grown tomatoes. The below lemon is only one of many unique finds at local markets.

Don’t be shy to stop if there is someone selling fruit roadside – we’ve picked up outstanding corn from Kau, strawberries from Waimea and had a wonderful chat with an Avocado Farmer who gave us a quick “101” on Avocado’s. (there are over 200 types of Avocado’s grown on the island.)
Check out the day for the markets here.
